教授,、博士生導師，主要從事水生態(tài)修復、環(huán)境微生物,，污染物遷移轉化規(guī)律、水環(huán)境模型,、生態(tài)水力學,、環(huán)境影響評價等方面的研究和教學工作。主持國家自然科學基金2項,，負責973課題的子課題1項,、國自然重點基金專題1項，國自然聯合基金專題1項,，參與國家重大科技專項課題2項,、江蘇省自然科學基金1項、江蘇省社會發(fā)展科技計劃項目1項,，江蘇省水利廳課題?“南水北調尾水導流工程生態(tài)濕地凈化尾水效果及不同季節(jié)最大水環(huán)境承載能力研究”,，國調辦項目“駱馬湖菹草影響水質對策研究”，并負責多個環(huán)境影響評價項目,；發(fā)表學術論文70余篇,，其中包括在JHM、WR,、EP,、STOTEN、JEM,、JHR等學術期刊上發(fā)表SCI檢索論文30余篇,；合作出版專著2部，授權發(fā)明專利31項,，授權軟件著作權6項,。 獲得國家科技進步二等獎1項（排名第五）、教育部科技進步獎一等獎1項（排名第五）,、教育部科技進步獎二等獎1項（排名第二）,。
