Dr. Huang is mainly engaged in basic research of theory and application on hydraulics and river hydrodynamics, ecological waterway regulation, river and lake ecologically comprehensive treatment. He has anticipated more than 10 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation Major International (Regional) Joint Research Project, National Key Research and Development Program, National Key Basic Research Program (973), provincial and ministerial projects. Representative and innovative research achievements have been made when researched on protection and utilization of the Yangtze River golden waterway and Dongjiang waterway, the Yangtze River Delta Water diversion projects and other related projects. More than 10 research papers have been published in domestic and foreign academic journals. 2 National invention patents have been granted.
