Shanshui Yuan got his PhD degree in the Department of Geography at Texas A&M University and worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at The Ohio State University. Dr. Yuan’s research focuses on hydrometeorology, land-atmosphere interactions and extreme drought/flood events. Dr. Yuan has published more than 20 papers in top journals, such as GRL, JGR, HESS etc and 1 book chapter. Dr. Yuan has served as PI in 5 projects, including National Natural Science Fund for Excellent Young Scientists (Overseas), Province-level Natural Science Fund for Young Scientists etc. He also contributed to more than 10 projects, which were funded by China STD, NSFC and US NSF, NASA, NOAA etc. Dr. Yuan has been serving as a reviewer for more 10 SCI journals, which include Water Resources Research, Journal of Hydrology, Journal of Climate etc. Dr. Yuan was invited to serve as a guest editor for Earth Interactions and Hydrology Research.
