Wanyun Xue graduated from Wuhan University with Ph.D. A major research focus is the basic theory of hydraulics (turbulent flow), water-sand-vegetation flow, hydraulic optimization of hydraulic structures, numerical simulation of water-gas two-phase flow, environmental hydraulics, etc. He has presided more than a dozen projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and Jiangsu Postdoctoral Science Foundation, published more than 40 papers including 30 SCI/EI papers. He got one 2022 Dayu Water Science and Technology Award and Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Hubei Province in 2015.
