Dr. Saiyu Yuan obtained his B.S. Degree at Hohai University in China in 2009, and completed his Ph.D. with Prof. Hongwu Tang at Hohai University in China in 2014. His dissertation won Jiangsu Province Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award. He serves as an assistant professor from June 2014 to June 2019 and a professor after June 2019 in Hohai University, China. He is also serving as the Associate Editor of Journal of Coastal Research. He dedicates himself to the theoretical research and practices in the field of mass transport in plain river networks and regulation. He has published 35 papers (20 SCI-indexed), and among these SCI-indexed papers including TOP journals. He was one of the fund winners from the Fok Ying Tung Foundation, and was selected as one of the Excellent Youth Exchange Project by China Association for Science and Technology and one of the Youth Support Project of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, and won the excellent doctoral dissertation award of Jiangsu Province, twice first prizes and once second prize of the provincial and ministerial awards.
